The Tsongas Center in Lowell, MA has asked us back to play June 28th 6-8pm outside by the river! Last year we drew a large crowd. What a great place for family and friends! Bring your lawn chairs. We may have a special guest with us that evening and will update the website once it’s confirmed. The address for the event is 300 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Lowell, MA. The concert and parking is Free, See you there!
The band is thrilled to be playing at Tonga Tam’s first ever House Concert on June 9, 2012 from 5-8pm. Tickets are only $10.00. Located at 101 Wheeler Rd Princeton, MA. These theme events are very popular in the south and southwest where many national recording artists perform in an intimate setting typically in a host’s backyard or even their living room. It’s a great way to listen and meet your favorite artists. The Island Castaway Band are about the friendliest group of Trop Rockers you will ever meet. Please introduce yourself at the party, we would love to get to know you and perhaps share some Tonga Juice. Not too much though
If you need tickets/directions/etc please email email@example.com
See you there!

Be sure to catch Joe & Paul today on WCUW 91.3 FM. From the station: “Surfs Up” on the Monday PM JUKEBOX (5-7pm EST) when we focus our attention on the TropRock scene with a musical journey from its roots in the Southern California beach music of the 1960s with artists like Jan and Dean and The Beach Boys to its current scene with contemporary music from Jimmy Buffett, James White and Ron Bell.
We’ll then head back from the Florida Keys and Caribbean islands where life is easier to our studio and be joined by our guests – Joe Holewa and Paul Kane from The Island Castaways Band who will guide us further into the TropRock scene. They’ll bring their favorite music from local and national bands in the TropRock scene and debut selections of their upcoming CD release. We’ll also talk about the upcoming Parrot Head Convention in NH. Put on your Bermuda Shorts and Hawaiian Shirts and tune in or stream in from wcuw.org Monday 5-7pm. It’s time for summer.

We hope everyone had great holidays and are making it through the Winter in good spirits. While it’s cold outside, here at ICB headquarters we’re brewing up a Winter heat wave… in other words, we’re recording our new CD, due this Spring! The first song from the CD is a little track that is very appropriate for this time of year. It’s called, “That Island Magic,” and you can listen to it NOW by clicking the player link above. The song has also been released to Trop Rock radio around the country and you can help us spread the “magic” by requesting the song from your favorite Trop Rock station. Links to make requests from a few of the stations are as follows:
We appreciate your help in making the requests – the more airplay we receive, the more likely we’re able to come see you all in person. So, if you want us to play your town, make those requests – thank you!!!
